Polar Bears with Monte Terror - An Interview



Seguindo a linhagem das clássicas bandas da Scene, os espanhóis do Monte Terror debutaram com um ep no início do ano homônimo com inspirações claras no Nowhere do Ride.

Guitarras em looping, vocais soterrados e melodiosos, crescendos constantes, e muito wall of sound.

A cartão de visitas é sem dúvidas Primer Desastre que fecha o disquinho de forma épica e os credencia como uma das bandas a serem acompanhadas no ano que chega.

E a Espanha vem mostrando que o barulho das guitarras tem tomando conta das coisas por lá.

Q. When did Monte Terror start, tell us about the history...
We did the first concert last december, but the song were played in a few garages for at least two year, we started in Granada and after we moved to Almeria to complet the band. We know each other from high school except miriam.

Q: Who are your influences?
Slowdive, Ride, My bloody Valentine, Mcenroe & Los Planetas

Q. Make a list of 5 albums of all time…

Q. How do you feel playing live?
We enjoy very much, we are surely a live band, even we record playing all at the same time

Q. How do you describe Monte Terror's sound?
Shoegaze, Lame Pop

Q: Tell us about the process of recording the songs?
We ve recording last week in a great studio, Refugio Antiaereo, personal studio from the singer of Los planetas, Jota.


Q. Which new bands do you recommended
Trepat, Perro, La maniobra de Q, Juventud Juché.

Q: Which bands would you love to make a cover version of?
We ve tempted to do a cover of Lily Marlene song

Q: What´s the plan for the future....
To play the most we can, and to play the far we can.

Q: Any parting words?
We pretend to have our new EP avalaible on January, stay tuned !
