New Ideals with Blablarism - An Interview



Momento experimental profundamente anti comercial por vezes até dançante todavia muito mais cerebral e intimista, Oksana é Blablarism, de Kiev, Ucrâniaa moça ousou ao extremo em seu último trabalho Agnostodynis, uma sinistra mistura de Throbing Gristle e Biosphere para ficar em algo mais palpável e experimentações diversas que beiram Ravél e demais excentricidades.

Soa indigesto à primeira audição, todavia conforme vão se passando as música, se é que posso colocar assim, a audição vai se tornando aceitável e quando se dá por si a música abduziu a mente.

Certamente o Blablarism é música para poucos e esses poucos devem se vangloriar.

Q. When did blablarism starts, tell us about the history...
1. My first attempts in making music began long time ago, blablarism appeared in 2011.

Q: Who are your influences?
2. I can't tell you about my influences, but I surely can advise you to listen to these artists if you haven't yet: The Fun Years, Aube, Biosphere, Anton Webern, Kaija Saariaho, Sofia Gubaidulina, Arvo Pärt, Ravel, Muslimgauze, Alfred Schnittke, Alexander Scriabin.

Q. Made a list of 5 albuns of all time…
3. "L'incoronazione di Poppea" by Biosphere,
"Bodysong" by Jonny Greenwood,
"Fakir Sind" by Muslimgauze,
"The Golden Morning Breaks" by Colleen, and
"Le Poeme de l'extase" by Scriabin (not an album but definitely "of all time").

These are good albums, though I haven't listened to all of the tracks.

Q. How do you feel playing live?
4. I feel uncomfortable.

Q. How do you describe blablarism´s sounds?
5. Why describe? You just hear them and feel something.


Q: Tell us about the process of recording the songs ?
6. I make the first step and then in a while a song is ready.

Q. Which new bands do you recommended?
7. Recently I made an acquaintance with Niccolò of Haf Haf, you should listen to his stuff. Also, The H, a side project of Jesse Osborne-Lanthier of Femminielli Noir.

Q: Which bands you love to made a cover version?
8. I don't make any cover versions, and I don't feel like making them in future.

Q: What´s the plans for future....
9. To be good at something.
