Visiondeath with Lazy Legs - An Interview

Michael Tenzer é basicamente sócio aqui do TBTCI.

Simplesmente magistral.

***** Interview with Lazy Legs *****

Q. When did Lazy Legs start? Tell us about the history…
We started in the fall of 2014 not taking it too seriously but we enjoyed making music together. It took about a year to figure out the direction we wanted to pursue and once we found it, we started writing and recording songs for our first EP towards the end of 2015.

Q: Who are your influences?
(Early) My Bloody Valentine, Smashing Pumpkins, Whirr, No Joy, Sonic Youth, Helen, Ringo Deathstarr

Q. Make a list of 5 albums of all time…
In no particular order:
Nico - Chelsea Girl
Whirr - Pipe Dreams
Sleep Over - Forever
Lubec - The Thrall
Thee Oh Sees - The Dream/Carrion Crawler

Q. How do you feel playing live?
We’re still in the process of getting ready to play live, but we are both nervous and looking forward to it. Hopefully, we’ll have a show or two this summer.

Q. How do you describe Lazy Legs' sounds?
We feel we have a natural tendency to cherry pick ideas within shoegaze and noise rock, blending them together into a noisy but atmospheric sound.

Q: Tell us about the process of recording the songs?
It typically starts with one of us having an idea for a guitar part or bass line, then once we agree on something we like, we figure out a supporting accompaniment. Our choices are heavily rooted in feeling rather than technique or structure. We feel fine-tuning should be reserved towards the end of the creative process.

Q. Which new bands do you recommend?
Jaguwar, Haunter, Lubec, Lunch Ladies, Future Death, Daguerreotype, King Woman. Small Wood House, Paincave, Pale Dian, LACING, Rei Clone, Typical Girls, Vet Trip, Replicant, Ganser, eraser eraser, never.

Q: Which band would you love to made a cover version of?
We were actually just talking about doing a cover of Patsy Cline recently.

Q: What are your plans for the future?
Finishing up our debut album, VISIONDEATH, by the end of June. We’re working on a music video which will come out before the album drops. Also, looking to play shows this summer.

Q: Any parting words?
Thanks so much for the interview and keep up the cool tribute compilations!
