Aftenpragtstjerne with Fugleflugten - An Interview

***** Interview with Fugleflugten *****

Q. When did Fugleflugten start? Tell us about the history...
It all began in January 2015 at a bar in Copenhagen where Mathias, Laurits and Rasmus decided to form a band. After half a year of rehearsing in different spaces without a bass player Frederik joined and the group was shaped in its contemporary form.

Q: Who are your influences?
Parents, friends, and lovers.

Q. Make a list of 5 albums of all time…
Pinkshinyultrablast – Happy Songs for Happy Zombies (EP)
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Blood Sugar Sex Magik
Slowdive - Souvlaki
Tame Impala – Innerspeaker
The Cure – Staring at the Sea

Q. How do you feel playing live?
Laurits feels out of place, like a lion hunting a deer.

Frederik has a profound ‘out of the body’-feeling.

Rasmus has a tendency to forget the audience as if he was still rehearsing.

Mathias doesn’t feel (usually too drunk).

Q. How do you describe Fugleflugten sounds?
Like squares and circles in intergalactic intercourse.

Q: Tell us about the process of recording the songs ?
Rasmus recodes demos and bring them to the rehearsal space where we forged them mutually until we’re satisfied. We’ve only recorded an EP so far that we did in a fine studio in Jutland. Rasmus did the main part in the mixing process with help from Mathias.

Q. Which new bands do you recommend?
The band below us J

Q: Which band would you love to made a cover version of?
Justin Bieber – Sorry.

Q: What are your plans for the future?
Hunting more deers. Being more out of body. Rehearsing more. Feeling less, drinking more.

Q: Any parting words?
Shout out to all who have and will enjoy our music.
