***** Interview with Victori Club *****

Q. When did Victoria Club start? tell us about the history...
It all started in 2012 which was the year I started the long process of recording on a studio in Ensenada, México. A few months after that, with some friends we managed to record the first EP called Soundtrack del Megido and we were very comfortable with that. In the coming years I worked on my own and recorded a studio album called Elah which was totally , mixed and masterized by me, it was a fun process. Currently, in the proyect, I'm being helped by Daniel Escobedo, who is an excellent pianist and we're almost done recording the next EP which we hope to be able to finish before the year ends.

Q: Who are your influences?
The Beatles, Neutral Milk Hotel, Deerhunter, My bloody valentine, Starflyer 59 , Radiohead, The Radio Dept, The Smiths, and a lot of other bands.

Q. Make a list of 5 albums of all time… It's a hard question, they might not be the best albums in history, but as time keeps passing by, I always keep listening these albums.
1 The Beatles : Revolver
2 The Smiths : The queen is dead
3 Deerhunter : Microcastle / Weird era cont.
4 Starflyer 59 : The fashion focus
5 My bloody valentine : Loveless

Q. How do you feel playing live?
Lately we've been playing acoustic shows and it is exciting how we can adapt our music to this style. We are currently planning on doing whole-band shows.

Q. How do you describe Victoria Club sounds?
Pop Rock

Q: Tell us about the process of recording the songs ?
It is actually very natural, I sit with my guitar and when I find a good riff or melody I record it with my cell phone, after that I quickly record the idea with my computer and I send it to Daniel so he have a taste of the track, then he record something about the track and finally he send it back to me. Almost everything we work on the track is about the main idea, we don't move away from it.

Q. Which new bands do you recommended?
31Ø8 , Courtney Barnett , Forecast in Rome y Farmacos

Q: Which band would you love to made a cover version of?
I think it would be interesting to do something of a very different style than what we play and then adapt it, like, for example, what Ryan Adams just did with his album of covers of Taylor Swift, you can listen to both versions and tell that they are absoultely different, like if they were different songs. In our case, playing something like The Supremes would be a good thing, a good challenge.

Q: What are your plans for the future?
Definitely it would be to play live more often and finish recording the EP that we are working on, which is by now a very good one. Stay tuned.

Q: Any parting words?
Wanted to thank you guys for the interview, stay tuned for news and for more music in our facebook page. Greetings from México. Blessings.
