Horsedrawn Wishes with ColoreSantos - An Interview

E novamente a América Latina adentrando as páginas do TBTCI, já perdi a conta de quantas bandas já figuraram por aqui nas últimas semanas, o ponto é que estamos realmente em um momento de efervescência no cenário seja por aqui ou no mundo todo.

Diretamente de Santigo, Chile vem o ColoreSantos, com uma bela estreia o single Forest/Toy, duas canções que caminham entre o shoegazer clássico, o dreampop e fazem conexões com gente como o Toy e outras belezas.

O quinteto ColoreSantos já anuncia por aqui que vem novo single, ep e que venham mesmo e que não demore.

Q. When did Colores Santos started, tell us about the history…
Rodrigo had songs recorded from 5 years ago and wanted a band to work it. He started to search for members last year in December in a social media, thats when he found the rest of us and eventually we met to play these old songs and work on a new sound.

Q: Who are your influences?
Slowdive, Cocteau Twins, Broadcast, The Horrors and Pink Floyd.

Q. Make a list of 5 albums of all time…

Q. How do you feel playing live?
it feels good actually, we thought it was gonna be pain but we really like it.

Q. How do you describe Colores Santos sounds?
Shoegaze trying not to sound like “Shoegaze”.

Q: Tell us about the process of recording the song?
We are really starting to have a notion of what its like to record the 5 of us together, but so far, we are really looking forward to work on a bigger canvas.

Q. Which new bands do you recommended?
Velódromo, Motines, Nubosidad Parcial, Purpurado de Charol, Foxygen, Perfectos Extraños, Patio Solar, Adelaida, The Dagger Complex.

Q: Which band would you love to made a cover version of?
New Order.

Q: What´s the plans for future….
Other than play a lot, release our future single and finish our EP.

Q: Any parting words?
We are having issues with our name, theres a Mexican band called Colores Santos so now we are figuring out a nice solution. Anyway, you can check us out in thanks for the interview we really love that our music is been hearing in other countries.
