Dirty Boots with Borderline Symphony - An Interview

***** Interview with Borderline Symphony *****

Q. When did Borderline Symphony start, tell us about the history...
A. About 2010. It was a duo at the time (2012) when the debut album came out. Then, until 2014 and with EP1, it was a solo project. Only now we start to play as a four-piece.

Q: Who are your influences?
A. Too many to mention! From Abba to Zeus. Also film soundtracks and classical music.

Q. Make a list of 5 albums of all time…
A. Too difficult. Really, I'm sorry!

Q. How do you feel playing live?
A. I feel like an ape in a zoo. I prefer rehearsing and recording.

Q. How do you describe Borderline Symphony´s sounds?
A. Warm. Like the Australian desert. And they are flexible and spinning. They make one feel cozy and dizzy.

Q: Tell us about the process of recording the songs?
A. Since I've recorded them by myself until now, it has been overdubbing and overdubbing. Checking lines out, record them and then delete them again:-).

Q. Which new bands do you recommend?
A. Tame Impala, The Besnard Lakes, Arcade Fire

Q: Which bands would you love to make a cover version of?
A. The Wipers, Deep Purple, Jethro Tull

Q: What´s the plan for the future....
A. Recording a new album. The usual boring thing:-).

Q: Any parting words?

A. Cheerio - and thanks a lot for your interest!
