Come On Die Young with Anadelta - An Interview

***** Interview with Anadelta *****

Q. When did Anadelta started tell us about the history...
Anadelta is a solo studio project since 2011, when I decided I should release an album since I'd been writing music for almost 6 years. It was something like a life dream for me. I was always in some post rock bands playing guitar or the bass (emptycanvas and goodluckwiththebombs), but this project is where I express myself 100 percent. Now apart from writing music and producing my second album 'supposing we haven't reached a deadend' I'm playing the guitar for Made By Grey at his gigs.

Q: Who are your influences?
My favourite band, and the first album ever bought from me and my older brother was 'mellon collie and the infinite sadness' by the smashing pumpkins in 1996, in the age of 11. I consider them to be my biggest influence. As a child i was also listening to many bands like Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, Ministry, Tool, even bands from the nu-metal scene, Korn, staind, cold etc. In 2002 is when I listened to '()' of sigur ros and 'come on die yound' byMogwai, when i starting exploring the world of post rock. I don't consider my self as a post rock artist, but for almost a decade i've been listening to so many bands that it is normal to influence me at my writing. Some of my biggest influences from this scene are destroyalldreamers, mountain men anonymous, sketchie, mono, pg lost, godspeed you black emperor, mogwai, hammock.

Q. Made a list of 5 albuns of all time…
1. Smashing pumpkins - Mellon collie and the infinite sadness
2. Sigur ros - ()
3. Destroyalldreamers - a coeur leger sommeil sanglant
4. Tool - Aenima
5. Mountain men anonymous - Krknose

Q. How do you feel playing alive?
I'm always a little nervous, but when i get up on the stage and the lights turn off, i forget everything and trying to focus on the music, and trying to give my best for the people i'm playing with.

Q. How do you describe Anadelta's sounds?
I will write some words of a fan from Poland: ''The music is transferring me to another world and conferring a different perspective on reality. It's electric, cosmic'' And that's exactly what I think of it. It's the same feeling I have when I'm writing the songs.

Q: Tell us about the process of recording the songs ?
I record everything at my home studio. I never sit with my guitar and write on a piece of paper the notes etc. When I start to record, I have no melody prepared, no song in my mind. I just record from zero. That's why almost all of my songs have 2 or 3 different unrelated parts.

Q. Which new bands do you recommended?
The truth is that I don't have time to search for any new bands of the scene. But I can recommend some Greek post rock bands like made by grey, adolf plays the jazz, i am no hero, calf, electric litany, afformance, tuber.

Q: Which bands you love to made a cover version?
I'm not so in covering someone elses songs, but lately i'm thinking of covering a song from cocteau twins. But i know it will never happen.

Q: What´s the plans for future....
I'm currently in the production process of my second album. It will be released in february or march. Then i'm thinking of releasing a small EP by the end of 2015. But in general, i never make musical plans.

Q: Any parting words?
Just, find a way to express yourself and kill your TV. Thank you
