***** Interview with The Morning Sons *****
Q. When did Morning Sons started, tell us about the history...
-A few of us, Tanner and Dusty, were briefly in a stoner metal band that didn't work out. So we recruited the rest of the dudes to fill out the line up. We've only been together around 6 or 7 months.
Q: Who are your influences?
-Hank Williams, Queens of the Stone Age, the Pixies, Black Sabbath, joy Division, Devo, Spoon, the Beatles.
Q. Make a list of 5 albums of all time…
-in no particular order:
"Aquemini" by Outkast
"Paranoid" by Black Sabbath
"Doolittle" by the Pixies
"In Bocca Al Lupo" by Murder By Death
Everything released by Hank Williams.
Q. How do you feel playing live?
-We feel most comfortable live because we're a live band. The songs really get a chance to breathe and grow.
Q. How do you describe Morning Sons´ sounds?
-Intergalactic cowboy punk. Lenard Skynards meets the Misfits, mixed with Joy Division.
Q: Tell us about the process of recording the songs?
-We usually just drink a lot of booze and then lay down the tracks and hope it turns out ok.
Q. Which new bands do you recommended ?
-Fuzz, Mutoid Man, Alabama Shakes
Q: Which bands would you love to make a cover version of?
-TV on the Radio, Grim Reaper, drive-by truckers
Q: What´s the plan for the future....
-we're getting reading to record our first full length record in January and then we hope to play a whole lot of shows.
Q: Any parting words?
-thanks for the interview! Check out our demo and tell your friends! Bye, have great time! Morning sons rule.
