Os estadunidenses do The Mites soltaram no final do ano passado Bellows, seu ep de estreia e o disquinho é uma verdadeira odisseia aos áureos anos das guitar bands.
Tem ecos de Velocity Girl, tem shoegazer, tem dreampop e tem aqueles vocais femininos que simplesmente grudam na mente e seduzem de imediato.
Bellows é pra ser escutado alto e curtindo a vida, delicioso.

The Mites started one lonely summer day back in 2011. Allison and Reed were hanging out and decided to write some songs on a whim. Then they hit up their best friend Raul to record drums and the rest is history.
Q: Who are your influences?
The Mites are influenced by a lot of stuff. Early twentieth century Texas and Delta blues; sixties psych/garage/folk; eighties psych and garage; nineties alternative/shoegaze/dream pop; etc.
Q. Make a list of 5 albums of all time…

Q. How do you feel playing live?
Well, we haven’t played live yet, but I imagine we’d feel pretty awkward.
Q. How do you describe The Mites sounds?
Like a heavy dollop of sugary-sweet molasses dripping from a wooden spoon in slow motion.
Q: Tell us about the process of recording the songs ? Like a newborn babe departing from the womb and gasping for its first breath of air.

Q: What´s the plans for future....
We currently have enough new material for a full-length album. We plan to begin tracking drums in May and, when everything inevitably fails to go as planned, the album should be done by around 2037.
