There's No Room For Fantasy with Yourself In Peace - An Interview

Justin Corrál, vocais e guitarras e Westley Miles Ulit, sintetizadores e bateria formam o duo Yourself In Peace.

Q. How do you describe Yourself In Peace sounds?
Familiar and minimal pop melodies mixed with chaotic electronica that includes sampling, noise pop, ambient and shoegaze elements.

Q: Tell us about the process of recording the songs ?
Recording relies heavily on accessing the unconscious mind and allowing one's brain to take a back seat to logic and reason. Without much preparation, most songs are initially improvised than edited and shaped later. Heavily influenced by the neo-dadaist and Fluxus movements, Yourself In Peace believes that chance and stream of consciousness techniques of creating, allow for a more honest interpretation of the music swirling in their heads.

Q. Which new bands do you recommend?
Vinyl Williams, Repeated Measures, Wavegroove, SFV Acid, Talk In Tongues

Q: Which band would you love to made a cover version of?
We’d love to cover a song by Future.

Q: What are your plans for the future?
Play more shows and record more albums.

Q: Any parting words?
Thanks so much! Peace and Love!
