The Last Broadcast with Hospital - An Interview

***** Interview with Hospital *****

Q. When did Hospital started, tell us about the history...
I think we started playing something in 2012 as a band. I mean we know each other for years. Actually we met in school in the far east of russia in town called Komsomolsk-on-Amure (use google). Then, after finished studying in Universatys we removed to Moscow and played in several bands for a while witch was good expirience for us but at the same time it was really messy so we decided to unite and make one good band despite two bad bands. We also asked our friend from Dimitrovgrad (another small russian town) Vova to play with us on drums. That's it.

Q: Who are your influences?
Well...a lot, you know. It's something from our childhood - like the beatles and the doors and niravana. But it's not really reflected in music. But we are also big fans of the cure, tears for fears, madchester wave, jeff buckley, radiohead, coldplay, some mainstream stuff.

Q. Make a list of 5 albuns of all time…
the beatles - revolver,
the doors - strange days,
the cure - wish,
radiohead - ok computer,
doves - the last broadcast.

But lists like this it's changing twice a month actually.)

Q. How do you feel playing live?
Like being totally spaced out

Q. How do you describe Hospital sounds?
Uplifting and sad at the same time. Powerful. Colourful. Light.

Q: Tell us about the process of recording the songs?
I usually writing all the lyrics and melodies and then we playing live in our rehearsing room for some time to find the right way for every song. Nothing special. But when i writing something i usually watching a movies.

Q. Which new bands do you recommended?
Parks, Squares and Alleys, Sea Radio, - they are our friends and just released new albums. It's pretty solid.

Q: Which band would you love to made a cover version of?
The last tim i thought about cover version it was this band Morning Runner and the song is Burning Benches. I'd love to play Spitting Fire by The Boxer Rebellion too.

Q: What´s the plans for future....
Trying to survive as a band and make another record

Q: Any parting words?
Be patient, follow your dreams and don't give up!
