For You with The Secret French Postcards - An Interview

Envolto em uma aura de mistério, com basicamente nenhuma informação, seja de procedência ou formação, ou qualquer coisa, ficando apenas a música para ser degustada e apreciada.

De certa forma, é exatamente assim que deve ser, a música pela música. Assim é o The Secret French Postcards.

***** Interview with The Secret French Postcards *****

Q. When did The Secret French Postcards start? Tell us about the history...
The secret french postcards (SFP) project started 2 years ago after a 10 year break with another project. The story before it's not relevant. I've always liked postpunk / goth / synth but never played it in a band. I've played everything from hc punk to indie and lo-fi so now it was time. SFP is me Olli on vocals and bass (because the bassist stopped after a few weeks, he thought it was too stuffy) Fredric on drums and peter on guitar.

Q: Who are your influences?
lots of late 70´s 80´s bands like: the cure, joy divission, siouxsie and the banshees, killing joke, the chameleons, depeche mode, u2, sisters of mercy, the mission, fields of nephlim, but also more punkish band like dead kennedys and peter and the test tube babies.

Q. Make a list of 5 albuns of all time…
sorry but i can not pick out favorite albums because i listen to so many different styles from hardcore punk to jazz.

Q. How do you feel playing live?
We have not played live yet with sfp. but with all other bands over the years we have been out a lot and we love it

Q. How do you describe The Secret French Postcards sounds?
synthpop without synths

Q: Tell us about the process of recording the songs ?
the songs that are out there are really just my song ideas that I'm recording. I have an idea then I try to find a drum loop that suits then I play the bass and then the guitar and vocals. Everything except the drums is recorded analogously through digital effects. Then we try to practice the songs with the band. I will put up these songs some day .

Q. Which new bands do you recommend?
The last thing I listened to was the band Nonn that sounded great. lots of good bands out there

Q: Which band would you love to made a cover version of?
depeche mode, joy divission I guess

Q: What are your plans for the future?
develop the songs and record them with the band
