Everything Ends with The Lynch - An Interview

Instambul, Turquia, sombras, barulho, escuridão, caos.

"Everything Ends", título do primeiro trabalho do trio The Lynch captura a essência dos quatro adjetivos colocados acima.

***** Interview with The Lynch *****

Q. When did The Lynch begin? Tell us about the history...
This adventure began in 2004 with two people; Erhan Atasoy and Ferhat Dunden. There wasn't a certain kind of music in our minds and we were two high school kids who didn't know what to do. All we knew was to compose songs and play our instruments. We have been included to psychedelic and shoegaze currents and prefer to walk through the backyards of rock music. In 2015, Emre Sen joined the band with a bass guitar. The band recorded ten demo albums and one EP called "The Sound Of Your Sigh".

Our first LP named "Everything Ends" was released on 12 November 2018 by Robonima Records.

Q: Who are your influences?
In the '80s and' 90s, as children growing up with the music of the 60s and 70s, our answers may be a bit ridiculous. King Crimson, Led Zeppelin, Pixies, Screaming Trees, Mad Season and Joy division. What is the common point of all these different bands? We really don't know.

Q. Make a list of 5 albums of all time…
Unknown Pleasures by Joy division
Doolittle by Pixies
Above by Mad Season
Eyedazzler by Alison's Halo
Revolver by The Beatles

Q. How do you feel playing live?
When we get together we just try to feel songs, even at rehearsal. We need to feel first. We love playing live and live recordings, always record rehearsals. This experience is not always enjoyable but the listeners enjoy it.

Q. How do you describe The Lynch´s sounds?
"Above the monotonous bass melodies, screaming echoed guitar sounds, dirty vocals, groaning drums and analogue sounds."

Q: Tell us about the process of recording the songs ?
If we speak for this album "Everything Ends", recorded in three hours with completely old-fashioned methods. We played live together and left the studio together like 60s rock bands.

Q. Which new bands do you recommend?
We don't follow the new bands, sorry. Just too busy with our music.

Q: Which band would you love to made a cover version of?
We don't play songs of other bands.

Q: What are your plans for the future?
Record more albums, more gigs. That's all.

Q: Any parting words?
Thank you very much for your interest. Love from Istanbul, Turkey!
