Spleen é o EP de estreia dos italianos do Jambox. Uma barulhenta e pegajosa seleção de cinco exercícios de fuzz no talo, reverberação explodindo pra todo lado, com ecos de class of 86 e abraçando o shoegaze e pitadas de grunge, os caras do Jambox fizeram em Spleen uma poderosa e promissora estreia.
Tem que ouvir alto, caso contrário não faz sentido.

1) We go to school together (senior year in high school) and we started the band in 2012 but the actual formation is active from December 2014. We changed many members and walked through different music genres eventually approaching the shoegaze world.
Q: Who are your influences?
2) We took our first steps from great bands such as Nirvana, My Bloody Valentine, Dinosaur Jr, The Cure and Joy Division. Our main influences though are "less known" bands such as Splashh, DIIV, Wavves and FIDLAR. In fact we don't just listen to shoegaze but also to many other types of music, spacing from the independent scene to the underground one.

Q. How do you feel playing live?
4) Our music, played live, it's like an explosion of energy that propagates through the instruments and is projected onto people's faces. It's a sonic outburst that makes the walls vibrate and makes us feel alive.
Q. How do you describe Jambox sounds?
5) Our tracks are characterized by heavily fuzzed but also dreamy sounds. A great role is played by the dinamic relationship between bass and drums which are really strong and powerful. The vocals are extremely anxious and often almost-spoken. Our music, in the end, describes ourselves.
Q: Tell us about the process of recording the songs ?
6) We recorded "Spleen" in an unusual location: deep in the woods, in an isolated house, far away from any sound except the bells, the dogs and the falling leaves that you can hear in the first track "Green Lake". It took us just a few days to record the album, thanks to our great friend and musician Federico Pianciola who helped us through this journey.
Q. Which new bands do you recommend?
7) You HAVE TO listen to bands like Fuzz, Dune Rats, Heron Oblivion and Cigarettes After Sex. We can also recommend to you a couple bands from Italy, for example Indianizer, Heike Has The Giggles and Go!Zilla
Q: Which band would you love to made a cover version of?
8) A couple songs we'd like to make a cover of are: When The Sun Hits - Slowdive Blue Jay Way - Beatles
Q: What are your plans for the future?
9) Keep playing, make new music and travel around the world with it.
